Being able to use FCKEditor to post a topic to this newbb forum module is nice. I wish I could do the same in AMS.

First thing first... I really like AMS. I have been developing my own article module but I am abandoning it in favor of AMS because I am getting myself deep into Xoops now.

I sent an email to NovaSmart but I am repeating here for other AMS enthusiasts out there.

NovaSmart said he was able to activate FCKEditor among few other editors as well over the weekend. I would like to know how you did that or if you are going to release new version or patch.

Thanks,

Since I got frequent request to get latest AMS with all XOOPS EDITOR enabled, i think now its time to make it public. You now can download AMS development overnight build here

To select your favourite XOOPS EDITOR:
ADMIN->AMS PREFERENCES->EDITOR

select from drop down button there.

And after that, report any bugs/feedback/suggestion :)

I get a problem with the FCK editor (see image). Other editors seem to work fine.

Hi Jobrazo..
I can't get your point. Is it mean there is no problem with AMS and your problem already solve (eg: browser issue)? Or there is bug in loading PNG images in AMS so it can't load properly ?

From the image file, I see that the text is shown above the FCKEditor instead of inside the textarea. That may be the problem he is referring to.

Sorry, a bit fast in my posting.

Yes the editable text is shown above the textarea and can not be edited.
I did some more testing however.

If i write a new text with FCK and edit it afterwords everything works OK.
if i edit a text with FCK written with Kiovo then i get the problem.

So the moral of the story is to stick with one editor :)

It would be nice to be able to switch thou.

Tried all editors.
Started with a text typed in Kiovo (is de 'standard" editor for AMS right now).
I only have a problem switching from kiovo to FCK.
Not vice versa and not with the other ones.
Text typed in FCK looks normal in all other editors, also in kiovo.
Lets hope its a minor bug.

Thats great bug discovery. Even it is minor, but its annoying enough to make me put as high priority. Try multiple editor on single post is not in our test regression (i never think of it before :)).
I'll try duplicate it, and fix it in next few day since I quite busy now adding new features and test the stability/security. I'll post new overnight snapshot when it stable enough to be tested by public.
